M23 resurfacing January and February 2018

The northbound stretch of the M23 between junctions 10 (Copthorne) and 9 (Gatwick) will be closed for resurfacing, between 10pm on Friday evening to 4am on Monday morning, on the dates below. 


Tandridge district residents are top recyclers

Residents have helped boost the district recycling rate to 62%, which includes 33% mixed recycling from blue lidded wheelie bins, 20% garden waste from brown wheelie bins and 9% food waste from green caddies.
 


Cafe owner fined £1,357 for not disposing of waste properly

On Monday 11 December at Guildford Magistrates Court, Kadir Gurpinar who trades as Eddies Cafe of Chaldon Road, Caterham pleaded guilty to 11 charges in relation to not disposing of waste from his business properly. He was fined £615 for putting waste from his cafe in recycling bins and failing to attend an interview, ordered to pay £212 compensation in relation to special collections to deal with the contaminated recycling and £30 to the victim support fund, plus legal costs of £500.


Chairman’s New Year message

Councillor Gill Black is this year’s Chairman of Tandridge District Council.
