Warlingham community recycling centre to accept household waste

From Friday 2 April , Warlingham Community Recycling Centre (CRC) will accept household waste, as well as recycling. It is hoped by accepting household waste at the Warlingham CRC it will ease the pressure at other CRCs, particularly in Caterham and Redhill.

Although Warlingham CRC will accept household waste, it will not accept chargeable waste such as rubble, soil, plasterboard and tyres.


Easter bank holiday collections

Recycling, food, rubbish and garden waste collections due to take place on Friday 2 April will be collected on Saturday 3 April.

Collections in the week beginning Monday 5 April will not change despite the Easter bank holidays.


Have your say on 6 May at local elections

On Thursday 6 May, residents will vote on who should represent them in the County, District, Parish and Police and Crime Commissioner elections.

Residents will also be voting on the referendum on the Caterham, Chaldon and Whyteleafe Neighbourhood Plan, a community-led framework which will guide the future development, regeneration and conservation of the three areas.


Help for families to buy healthy foods

From April, the value of Healthy Start vouchers will increase from £3.10 to £4.25, providing additional support for pregnant women and families on lower incomes, to purchase healthy foods.
