Our response to Covid-19

As a Council we are very used to dealing with emergencies, but unlike other emergencies Covid-19 does not have a clear start and finish. We have never been involved in a countywide or nationwide emergency before. The pace of our response has been phenomenal and we couldn’t have done it without the incredible amount of knowledge we’ve acquired, along with working with our partners in new and innovative ways.

Support for those experiencing financial hardship

We are working with Surrey County Council and the other district and borough councils to ensure children and families in the county most at risk of hardship are supported, as we continue to deal with the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic. Funding given to Surrey County Council by the government, for food and essential supplies, is being used to support various schemes across the county.
