Celebrating the Windrush generation on 22 June

Monday 22 June marks the second national Windrush Day, when the nation can commemorate, celebrate and recognise the many contributions the Caribbean community has made to Britain’s social, economic and cultural life.

Buy a Tandridge Together Lottery ticket and support good causes

Due to COVID-19, hundreds of fundraising events in the district have been cancelled. This means many charities and local organisations won’t get the vital funds they need and some have had to reduce or stop services at a time when the vulnerable members of society need them most.

The Tandridge Together Lottery supports 160 local good causes who are registered, including community centres, sport clubs and charities supporting a range of needs, because all the profits from the £1 lottery ticket you buy goes directly to your chosen good cause.

Stay safe and shop locally

Some of your favourite high street shops and local businesses are reopening this week and they need shoppers to return to kick start our economic recovery.

Getting back to business

Tandridge District Council is launching a campaign to back local businesses as they start to reopen from 15 June 2020, in line with government guidelines.

The Council is working closely with the Caterham and Oxted Business Improvement Districts and Lingfield Chamber of Commerce, as well as district and parish councillors to help get the district back in business, kick start the local economy and encourage residents to shop local.
