Council’s financial position and services

As technology has transformed our daily lives, our residents expect the Council to provide services and information online, while continuing to provide the vital support for our more vulnerable residents. 
 
The Council is carrying out a transformation programme to modernise the way we work and to ensure we are able to meet current and future challenges. This is a phased programme of work and it is fair to say that it has been a very ambitious challenge. We have had some teething problems with recruitment and some of the IT implementation has been delayed.


£2000 Tandridge Together Lottery winner

Last Saturday, one of our lottery supporters from Godstone scooped our second highest prize of £2000 in the Tandridge Together Lottery draw and another lucky winner from Caterham won £250. They were just two of the lucky 50 winners who all won prizes on Saturday night. Since the lottery started in March 2018, over 4000 winners have won more than £45,000 worth of prizes.


The introduction of T Levels

T Levels are a brand new, two year qualification coming in September 2020. T Levels are a technical education route which will give you a head start towards the future career you want. You can enrol on T Levels once you’ve completed your GCSE’s.


Reduced street cleaning services due to leaf fall

From 4 November 2019 we will be temporarily suspending our normal street cleaning service, as we prioritise our street cleaning to focus on clearing roads and pavements that experience heavy leaf fall. Litter and dog bins will still be emptied as usual.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. We will resume our normal street cleaning schedule as soon as we can.


Tandridge Communicating Champions

A new community-based club, helping residents improve their communication skills, will launch at the end of October. Tandridge Communicating Champions will give people advice on issues like public speaking, listening and evaluating.
