Bulky rubbish clearance weekends

Collecting and recycling your old rubbish bins

We are providing households in the district with a new black wheeled bin for their rubbish. If you no longer want your old bin and you can’t take it to Caterham or Earlswood community recycling centre, we’ve arranged for them to be collected by our Street Cleaning team, at our bulky rubbish clearance weekends in November and December.

At these weekends, you can bring your empty bins to one of these locations (except for Hurst Green Community Centre) and we’ll take them away and recycle them. If the bins have rubbish inside them, they won’t be taken away. Dates, times and locations of the bulky rubbish clearance weekends can be found below.

In Hurst Green, bins will only be collected at Coldshott and not at the Community Centre.

If you have large household items which can’t be taken by your normal rubbish collection, you can take it to a bulky waste clearance weekend on the dates/times listed below. These collections cannot accept business or commercial waste. If you would like to recycle your items please take them to a community recycling centre.

Please do not leave any waste if the waste vehicle is not there. This will be seen as illegal flytipping and may lead to the site being withdrawn.

Please be considerate of those living nearby when using these sites and respectful of the collection crew.
