We collect stray dogs which have been captured or tied up. We cannot catch loose dogs. Our service is provided by SDK Environmental Limited.

Please contact 03444 828 300 (8.30am to 5pm every day) to pay the stray dog collection charges and arrange the return of your dog.

Charges include the collection and return of the dog, plus any kennelling, emergency veterinary treatment and other additional costs.

What is a stray dog?

A stray dog is defined as 'any unattended dog in a public place' and a public place means on the highway or any other place to which the public are entitled or permitted to have access.

Dangerous dogs

A dangerous dog is either a member of a breed that has been defined as a dangerous dog in legislation or it is a dog that is out of control and may have attacked someone causing physical injury. Dangerous dogs should be reported to the Police on 101.
