Interested in becoming a canvasser?

As part of our annual canvass we must contact every property to find out if there are any changes to the household so we can remove the details of those no longer living there and invite new occupants to register individually. We do this by asking all households to complete and return a Household Enquiry Form.

Between September and November, we need canvassers to visit properties that have not responded to the Household Enquiry Form.

Canvassers are allocated to a specific area of the district to work in. We currently have vacancies across the district.

To be right for this role you will need to:

  • Be honest and trustworthy.
  • Have good communication skills and be able to communicate with customers in a calm, polite, patient and tactful manner.
  • Be able to work in a politically neutral manner.
  • Adhere to strict guidance regarding handling and storing of personal data and confidentiality.
