Climbing frame removed from Bushey Croft play area

The Council has removed the climbing frame from the Bushey Croft play area in Old Oxted. All play areas in the district have a regular safety inspection to check for any signs of deterioration or damage. Following the latest safety inspection the climbing frame, which was over 35 years old, showed signs of structural compromise and this could not be fixed. Unfortunately we have had to take the decision to remove the climbing frame.

White Ribbon Campaign

The White Ribbon Campaign aims to educate and raise awareness of violence against women and to engage men in these issues. Wearing a White Ribbon is a personal Pledge to never commit, condone or remain silent about violence against women.

Speak up about domestic abuse

Women’s Aid is running free training in East Surrey for anyone who wants to break the silence on domestic abuse. This is to ensure the first time a woman speaks out about abuse, she is heard, believed and guided towards the specialist support she needs to regain her independence.
