Payments

Use our payment system to pay for:

• Council tax
• Business rates
• Housing rent
• Other invoices issued by us such as:
  - Your community alarm
  - Leasehold management expenses
  - Leasehold insurance
  - Annual licences
  - handyman service
  - Building regulations inspection fees
  - Allotments
  - and much more.

Our new Payment System does not require you to register with the system. After clicking on the Payment System link you will see a screen that informs you that you are being redirected to the new System. Find out more about what we do with the personal information we collect from you.

There is no charge for using credit or debit cards, except if you are paying for your council tax or business rates by credit card. The Council will then add a surcharge of 1.208% to your payment, which is what our bank charges us for the transaction. There is no charge for using a debit card.

As part of an ongoing review of services and costs, we have withdrawn the Citizen’s Account and e-billing facility, the low take up of this service did not represent value for money for council taxpayers in Tandridge.

Standing order, telephone and internet banking

To make a payment to Tandridge District Council using telephone or online banking, or to set up a standing order you will need the following details:

• Bank: HSBC Oxted Branch
• Sort code: 40 35 40
• Account number: 91098098

Please use your billing number as your payment reference.

Refund and cancellation policy

For goods and services being purchased from the Council's website:

• Where the Council fails to deliver in accordance with our standards, a full refund will be made.
• The credit / debit card used for the payment will be refunded.
• This will be done as soon as possible, but within 14 days of the refund being agreed by the Council.
• Cancellations will only result in a refund at the discretion of the Council.
• In the event the Council agrees to a refund following a cancellation, this will be carried out in accordance with the above.

Parking payments

To pay a parking penalty charge please use Reigate & Banstead parking payments (This link will open in a new window).

On-street parking enforcement in the Tandridge District is managed by Reigate & Banstead Borough Council, working on behalf of Surrey County Council.

Reigate & Banstead Borough Council also manages parking enforcement in car parks on behalf of Tandridge District Council, as well as issuing parking permits and fixing parking machine faults.
