If planning permission is given, what happens next?

You will normally have three years in which to start the development for which planning permission is granted. You may have to comply with specific conditions imposed so you should carefully check the terms of the permission before you proceed. If you change your plans you must notify us and we will consider whether further applications are required.

You may need separate approval under the Building regulations before you start work. You may also need to legally inform your neighbours about works close to their boundary under the Party Wall ActThis link will open in a new window (This link will open in a new window).

Further consent will be required for works to Listed Buildings or demolition of some buildings in Conservation Areas.
