Wheels 2 Learn
This is a moped loan scheme for young people aged 16+ who have an offer of education which they are unable to reach using either public or private transport.
Free Compulsory of Basic Training (CBT) is provided, as well as a new safety helmet, padded jacket, reflective tabard and gloves. The mopeds are restricted to 30 miles per hour and any applicant aged 16 or 17 will need the consent of their parent or guardian. Further information on the CBT training can be found at P&H Motorcycles.
The Wheels 2 Learn scheme runs over an academic year. During this time the young person has contact with a Project Coordinator who will offer help and advice where possible.
There is a monthly administration charge £78, of which 44% will be refunded at the end of the loan period, provided the moped is returned in good condition and there are no outstanding debts.
