Procuring housing work

We use a range of procurement methods, as set out in the Council's constitution dependant upon the likely value of the contract. These methods apply to all types of work from gas servicing and repairs to major modernisation and improvement projects.

We have tended to search Constructionline, the governments register of pre-qualified construction suppliers to carry out our schemes of work. For new contracts with an estimated value in excess of £40,000, we have developed procurement software in partnership with IESE, which incorporates advertising tendering opportunities and an e tendering process using the SECE portal. Suppliers would therefore need to register on the portal and Constructionline to identify, register an interest and qualify.

We are also developing a Surrey wide procurement framework agreement with the Surrey Collaboration Project but there is still some work to do on this.
