Every year the government issues a number of statutory performance indicators. The Council sets targets for each of these performance indicators. We also set local indicators with targets in a number of other areas which supplement the national indicators.

Current performance indicators
Each year the Council identifies a limited number of key performance indicators, both statutory and local, which focus on performance sensitive indicators which councillors feel warrant particular attention. These key indicators are monitored four times a year by the Overview and Scrutiny Committee, while the other indicators are monitored twice a year.
