Access for all

To provide access to our services for all residents and businesses, the Council:

• Can provide interpreters for over 100 different languages through Language Line.
• Has an induction loop system to help communication for deaf people during public meetings. The loop feeds the amplified signal available in the Council Chamber to hearing aids designed to operate with induction loops.
• Can provide BSL Sign Language interpreters through Surrey Interpreting Agency.

We also have a number of housing and council tax benefit documents on tape (for loan only) and a video tape about housing benefits with British Sign Language and subtitles for deaf people.
