Relationship between CIL and planning obligations
The purpose of the Planning Obligation and CIL Guidance below is to:
- clarify how the District intends to use planning obligations and S106 agreements since the adoption of CIL in June 2014.
- set out the Council’s policies and procedures for securing developer contributions and
- provide clear guidance to the Council’s position on planning obligations and CIL.
It should assist with the planning application process by clarifying the scope and scale of planning obligations likely to be sought for different developments.
