What are housing benefit meal deductions?

Housing benefit meal deductions apply to each member of the family. The figures below are deducted from the rent used to calculate housing benefit. These deductions are taken if your rent includes meals, they will not change whether your landlord charges more or less than these amounts for your meals. The Government sets the figures and reviews them once a year. If they change we will tell you.

The figures below apply from April 2011.
