Could you give a child in care a loving home?
Foster Care Fortnight runs from 13-26 May 2019. Finding enough foster carers is always a challenge, which means that Surrey County Council needs to place around 40% of the children in its care with foster carers in other parts of the country. This often involves moving children away from their families, friends and schools, and is usually more expensive. It also means the council can’t provide the children with the level of support that they receive when they stay in Surrey.
Surrey County Council welcomes applications from people from all walks of life. So if you have ever thought about fostering, maybe now’s the time to find out more. Give their team a call for an informal chat on 0800 096 9626 or visit: surreycc.gov.uk/fostering.
