Last call to register to vote

On 1 December the new electoral register will be published. This lists all the people entitled to vote at elections.

Every household in the district has been sent a Household Enquiry Form to update online, by text or return by post. Anyone who has not updated their form can still amend or confirm their details. To add someone to the form they must also be registered online at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote.

Anyone who fails to update or confirm the details on the Household Enquiry Form risks being fined up to £1000 and would not be able to vote in next May’s local elections. Representatives from the Council are visiting households which haven’t responded.

Chief Executive, Louise Round, said: “We are just about to publish our register so this is the last chance residents have to confirm their details with us. It’s a quick process if you go online and it means you can vote next year, so please take this chance to check the information is up to date.”

Anyone with questions about the form, voting or the electoral register should visit www.tandridge.gov.uk/voting.
