Tandridge Together Lottery hands out 840 prizes in first four months
Last weekend’s lottery two local people win £250 to join the 840 people who have so far won a prize in the Tandridge Together Lottery.
In addition two joint membership packs to the Edenbridge & Oxted Agricultural Show worth £75 each were won by Mr A from Lingfield and Diane Haslam from Caterham who said: “I am looking forward to attending the show for the first time”.
To date four people have won the second cash prize of £2,000 and the latest winner was Mr W from Kingston upon Thames.
Eleven people have won the third cash prize of £250. Sharon Budgen from Purley scooped £250 on 23 June. Sharon chose to support the Breck Foundation with her ticket purchase and said: “I entered the Tandridge Together Lottery as it was a good way of supporting a charity of my choice, while being in with a chance of winning a prize. On the very first draw I entered, I won £250! I’ll be spending my winnings on a family camping trip. Breck was my next door neighbour who tragically was groomed online and murdered a month before his 15th birthday. The Breck Foundation reaches tens of thousands of children and raises awareness of online safety, helping them to make safer decisions and to feel empowered to #PlayVirtualLiveReal. The charity survives primarily with the help of donations, fundraising and the amazing support of the local community.”
Jon Allbutt from Tatsfield was also a lucky £250 winner on 23 June and chose to support Tatsfield in Bloom. Tatisfield, is a gold medal winning village in the South and South East in Bloom competition. Jon said “I was delighted to win £250 in the Lottery! I am the Chairman of Tatsfield in Bloom which depends upon donations for our projects which are run entirely by our Tatsfield Community Volunteers and we are delighted with the support we are receiving form the Tandridge Together Lottery.”
In the last four months, eighty two people have won the cash prize of £25 and more than 750 people have won three extra ticket prizes.
