Congratulations to all lottery winners
50 lucky winners scooped £625 worth of prizes in the first Tandridge Together Lottery draw and raised £1,390.80 for 85 good causes in the Tandridge district.
The top prizes went to:
- Christopher Cumming of Caterham who won £250 worth of Amazon vouchers.
- Ruth Schroeder of Caterham who won £250.
In addition five players won £25 each and 43 players won three free tickets.
Ruth Schroeder said: “I am absolutely delighted to have won, I have never won anything before and the money will come in handy as it’s birthday season so will be spent on my family. I chose to take part in the lottery because it’s supporting the local community.”
Christopher Cumming said: “I am highly delighted and amazed to have won the vouchers and am planning to buy some new camera equipment. This is the first time I’ve won anything although I do take part in other charity lotteries as I am keen to support local causes.”
British Paralympic champion Anne Dickins will be presenting Christopher Cumming with his prize at the Council offices and said: “I am delighted to be presenting the voucher to Christopher. The lottery is a fantastic opportunity for charities to raise much needed funds and I’m really happy to be involved.”
The next draw is on Saturday 7 April at 8pm and every Saturday after that. Tickets cost £1 and all profits will go to good causes in the Tandridge district. Anyone buying a ticket can select the local good cause they want to support from those registered on the website. Tickets are available to buy at www.tandridgelottery.co.uk and residents who don’t have access to the internet can also take part by calling 01883 460555.
Kathy O’Leary, Strategic Director of Resources, said: “Congratulations to all the winners and thank you to everyone who bought a ticket and supported a local good cause. The huge amount of support shown for charities and organisations in the Tandridge district is fantastic. We really hope many more people will buy tickets and any good causes not yet taking part will sign up.”
