Quick and easy ways to pay us


This month, council tax, business rate and housing rent bills will be landing on door mats.

Anyone already paying by direct debit does not need to contact us or make any changes to their payments, as the direct debit amount will automatically be updated.

The majority of our council tax payers and businesses already use direct debit to pay their bill because it’s much quicker, easier and you can spread your payments over 12 months.

  • Online from your bank: If you have already set up regular monthly payments with your bank, please amend the monthly payment by adjusting your standing order.You can easily set up a one off or regular payments from your bank account to ours. Don’t forget to use the invoice and billing or account number(s) available when making a payment.
  • On our website: Please have your card, invoice and billing or account number(s) available when making a payment.
  • By telephone: Call 03300 88 46 84 to use our automated telephone service. Don’t forget to use the invoice and billing or account number(s) available when making a payment.
  • At a bank: You need to have the invoice and billing or account number(s) available when making a payment, you can pay at your bank or any branch of HSBC using our bank details which are on the bill we have sent to you.

Support for residents facing financial hardship

Most people on income support, guaranteed pension credit, or very low incomes will continue to have the cost of council tax fully met by council tax support. Other people will automatically have their council tax support recalculated to reflect their revised council tax bills.

If you are applying for Universal Credit for the first time, then you need to apply for a Council tax reduction at www.tandridge.gov.uk/onlineaccount.
