Elizabeth donates her winnings to local good causes

Elizabeth Lord from Banstead said: “I was thrilled to win in Saturday’s draw. I am putting half my £250 towards my chosen good cause Dementia First, because they do such a good job supporting people living with dementia in their day centres, giving both sufferer and their caregivers a break, including providing them with a nutritious lunch.

The rest I will use towards supporting the Royal Alfred Seafarers Society, Banstead Welfare Fund, where my husband was so well cared for. It is so easy to buy tickets and I am pleased my money goes towards helping good causes.”

The next weekly draw is on Saturday 3 February at 8pm. Tickets cost £1 and all profits will go to good causes in the Tandridge district and you could win the top cash prize of £25,000! Anyone buying a ticket can select the local good cause they want to support from those registered on the website.

By supporting our lottery, players have raised more than £250,000 for local charities and voluntary organisations. These funds help our local good causes deliver the valuable work they do for our residents and the district.

Tickets are available to buy at www.tandridgelottery.co.uk and residents who don’t have access to the internet can also take part by calling 01883 460555.
