Quick and easy ways to pay us

Council tax, business rate and housing rent bills will be landing on door mats this month.

Anyone already paying by direct debit does not need to contact us or make any changes to their payments, as the direct debit amount will automatically be updated.

Over 75% of our council tax payers and 54% of businesses already use direct debit to pay their bill, because it’s much quicker and easier and you can spread your payments over 12 months.

To set up a direct debit to pay your:

• Council tax or business rate - you will need your council tax/business rate number, you can find this on your bill.
• Housing rent - you will need your rent account number on your bill.

There are also other easy ways to pay any money you owe us, online, by telephone or at your bank:

• On our website: Please have your card, invoice and billing or account number(s) available when making a payment.
• Online from your bank: Setting up a one off or regular payment from your bank account to ours is very easy. Don’t forget to use the invoice and billing or account number(s) available when making a payment.
• By telephone: Call 03300 88 46 84 to use our automated telephone service. Don’t forget to use the invoice and billing or account number(s) available when making a payment.
• At a bank: As long as you have the invoice and billing or account number(s) available when making a payment, you can pay at your bank or any branch of HSBC using our bank details which are on the bill we have sent to you.
