Have your say about extending the Surrey Hills boundary

Natural England wants your views about expanding the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) as part of its 14 week public consultation.

The current Surrey Hills AONB stretches across the county, from Farnham in the west, to Oxted in the east. Natural England is proposing to increase the size of the county’s AONB by 25% (62 square miles).

To view and comment on the proposed plans, please visit the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs website. You can also view a copy of the plan at the Council Offices reception in Oxted. The consultation closes on Tuesday 13 June.

Natural England will consider the results and decide whether to ask the Secretary of State for the Environment to expand the AONB boundaries.
