Helping businesses go green

Over 20 businesses came along to our interactive Go Green event on Wednesday 2 November, to find out what steps they can take to work towards becoming net zero.

The event, sponsored by Love Oxted and run by Surrey Chambers of Commerce with our support, provided businesses with advice and guidance including:

  • Tips on reducing their carbon footprint.
  • Guidance on becoming more sustainable.
  • Case studies from other local businesses already on their net zero journey.

We would like to thank the Oxted BID (Love Oxted), Surrey Chambers of Commerce, as well as the speakers from LoCASECompare Your FootprintImpact for Good and local businesses Elements Hair & Beauty and KpH Deconstruction (Caterham). Thanks also to the Deli and Gurkha Kitchen for providing refreshments.

Councillor Catherine Sayer, Leader of the Council, said: “The event was a great success, with a lot of very positive feedback. The excellent speakers and case studies really helped us all understand how businesses can work towards net zero. We are planning future events to support businesses. Please sign up for our business newsletter which we use to publish all the details at www.tandridge.gov.uk/signup.”
