Redehall Preparatory School, Redehall Road, Smallfield, Horley RH6 9QA

Redehall Preparatory School is listed as an Asset of Community Value under the Localism Act 2011.

On 1 July 2021 the owner of the Property, Aurora ASD Limited (Company No 10198361), gave the Council notice under Section 95(2) of the Localism Act of its intention to dispose of the land. This means local community interest groups have six weeks to make a written request to the Council to be treated as a potential bidder for the land.

This is known as the interim moratorium period, which runs for six weeks from the date the Council was notified of the intention to dispose and will expire on 16 August 2021.

If a local community interest makes a written request to the Council to be treated as a potential bidder within the interim moratorium period, Aurora ASD Limited can’t dispose of its asset, except to a community interest group, within the six months starting from 1 July 2021 and expiring on 2 January 2022 (this is known as the full moratorium period).

The protected period will run from 1 July 2021 until 2 January 2023. This is the period during which the owner is free to dispose of the property once the interim moratorium period or the full moratorium period (if triggered) has expired. No further moratoriums can be imposed during the protected period.

Any community interest group which would like to express an interest in the land should e-mail Catherine de Bruin at cdebruin@tandridge.gov.uk or write to Catherine de Bruin, Legal Specialist, Legal, Tandridge District Council, 8 Station Road East, Oxted RH8 0BT
