Stay safe and shop locally
Some of your favourite high street shops and local businesses are reopening this week and they need shoppers to return to kick start our economic recovery.
Many people will be relieved and feel there is some return to normality as more local businesses reopen, but understandably some people may be more cautious about shopping at first.
The shops and local businesses on your local high street have put in place safety measures to keep visitors and their employees safe.
Businesses should display a notice visibly in their shop windows or outside their store to show employees, customers and other visitors they have followed the government’s guidance on reopening safely.
In addition, to reduce the risk of catching or spreading the virus, you should:
- Keep your distance and protect yourself and others.
- Stay at home if you’re unwell.
- Be patient if queuing.
- Walk or cycle wherever possible. If you have to take public transport, you will need to wear a face mask.

Please stay safe and shop local whenever you can.
