An opportunity to get into nursing
Looking for a rewarding career in nursing or a health-related profession? East Surrey College and John Ruskin College have an industry-focused course which will prepare you for study at degree level.
The one-year Access to Higher Education Diploma is designed to allow adult students (19+) to develop their academic skills, knowledge and confidence before applying for university.
On completion of the course, students can progress to university or a degree apprenticeship, with a wide choice of career options including:
- Adult nursing
- Children’s nursing
- Mental health nursing
Alternatively, students can earn while they learn on a Nursing Associate Level 5 Apprenticeship.
From September 2020, all nursing students will benefit from a guaranteed bursary payment of at least £5,000 a year to help with living costs. The payment is in addition to any tuition or maintenance loans, and it doesn’t have to be paid back. For more information and to apply, visit East Surrey College or John Ruskin College.
