The Surrey Safeguarding Adults Board

The Surrey Safeguarding Adults Board

Most people in Surrey live safely, free from harm, abuse and neglect. However, some people have care and support needs that make it difficult for them to protect themselves.

The Surrey Safeguarding Adults Board (SSAB) is a multi-agency partnership that helps to prevent the abuse and neglect of adults with care and support needs. The SSAB works with statutory, voluntary and other organisations to oversee and coordinate the adult safeguarding work across the county.

The SSAB web site has details on what to do if you are concerned about the wellbeing of an adult with care and support needs, as well as information guides for members of the public.

If you have concerns, don’t ignore them, they should be reported to the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) either by phoning 0300 470 9100 or by e-mailing ascmash@surreycc.gov.uk.
