Tandridge Council officials mark Remembrance Day
Tandridge District Council’s Chairman, Councillor Jeremy Pursehouse, will be attending the Remembrance Day parade at the Warlingham War Memorial on 10 November 2019.
The parade will start at the Warlingham Scout Hut at 10.20am and will arrive at the War Memorial ceremony on Warlingham Green at 10.50am, for the laying of wreaths. Councillor Pursehouse will also attend a wreath laying ceremony later in the day at 1.30pm at the RAF Kenley Tribute Airfield.
Tandridge Councillors will be representing the Council at other Remembrance Day memorial services throughout the district to commemorate the soldiers, sailors and airmen killed and injured in the two World Wars and all conflicts since then.
Councillor Pursehouse said: “I’m incredibly proud to be representing the Council in remembering all who have fought and lost their lives in wars, as well as those currently serving. I’d encourage anyone who hasn’t yet bought a poppy to do so, as proceeds help support veterans and members of the British Armed Forces, their families and dependants.”
