Government launch a £250,000 scheme to improve broadband connectivity in event venues

The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) will fund a number of projects, with a combined total of £250,000, to improve digital connectivity in event venues, enabling them to receive full fibre access.

One of the key factors in choosing a destination to host events is the quality of the infrastructure, with digital connectivity playing a key role. By improving the broadband infrastructure, venues in the district may have the capacity to host events which also attract a large number of international visitors.
