Flower Festival raises money for church lights

A Flower Festival was held at St John's Church, Hurst Green from Thursday 11 July until Sunday 14 July with the theme of "Let there be Light". There were 26 flower exhibits with a variety of subjects including Rainbow, Sunset, Colours of Day and much more.

The Woodhouse Centre entered "Sew Far Sew Good" an exhibit which not only showed flowers, but also subjects covered at the Woodhouse Centre from Monday to Thursday each week.

The Flower Festival raised £1,351 towards the cost of replacing the outdated lighting system in the church.

The organisers, including Diana Bush who is a member of The Woodhouse Centre, would like to thank all those who got involved, donated flowers and contributed their time.
