Tandridge Together Lottery supporters win tickets to the Edenbridge and Oxted Show

Last Saturday, three lucky people each won a pair of adult tickets to the Edenbridge and Oxted Agricultural Show, which takes place on Sunday 25 and Monday 26 August.

The two day event is held at the Ardenrun Showground in Lingfield. With each adult ticket holder, any number of children can visit for free, making this a wonderful family day out. The show combines all the favourites of a traditional agricultural show, along with family entertainment, rides, experiences and lots of food and shopping stalls.

Julia Church from Caterham, Philip Davis from Warlingham and Mrs B from Oxted all scooped a pair of tickets in the Tandridge Together Lottery draw.

Julia said: "I am very happy to support the Tandridge Together Lottery because it is great to know my money is going to support so many local good causes and also gives me the chance to win a cash prize. I am looking forward to visiting the Edenbridge and Oxted Show with the free tickets, I won on the lottery."

Philip said: "The Tandridge lottery provides support for local causes. It is easy to be distracted by large winnings in the National Lottery, but it is our local area that needs our support, as it is our community and that's why I support the Tandridge lottery."

On Saturday 31 August players have the chance to win a family day ticket to Penshurst Place, as well as the top cash prize of £25,000.

The next draw is on Saturday 10 August at 8pm and every Saturday after that. Tickets cost £1 and all profits will go to good causes in the Tandridge district. Anyone buying a ticket can select the local good cause they want to support from those registered on the website. Tickets are available to buy at www.tandridgelottery.co.uk and residents who don’t have access to the internet can also take part by calling 01883 460555.

Councillor Beverley Connolly, Chairman of the Community Services Committee, said: “Congratulations to all the winners and thank you to everyone who bought a ticket and supported a local good cause. I hope our special prize winners enjoy what is always one of our most popular events in the district and I would like to thank the organisers of the Edenbridge and Oxted Show for their continued support. More than £82,000 has been raised for local charities and voluntary organisations which enables them to continue their invaluable work. The huge amount of support shown for charities and organisations in the Tandridge district is fantastic. We really hope many more people will buy tickets and any good causes not yet taking part will sign up.”
