Can you sponsor Prospero Theatre?
Prospero Theatre uses drama to improve the lives of adults and young people with disabilities and mental health issues.
The theatre based in Caterham runs a Friday Club for adults with disabilities, The Adult Inclusive Group which tours and the Prospero Theatre School for young people aged 6 years and over. They also run four projects in schools which use drama and storytelling to address anxiety and mental ill-health.
The theatre is just about to start rehearsing its next show, which will be performed by a 50/50 split of able and disabled performers. The play, The Life of Barry, is a comedy that takes people from loneliness and isolation to connection and mad dancing! They work towards the highest possible artistic standards. This is matched by the aim for all participants to build social networks, to help reduce social isolation, with the other community groups they perform for and with.
Like lots of companies Prospero is finding funding harder to attract. The Prospero Board is trying to raise £2000 in sponsorship and rather than asking for one big amount, it is looking for 10 companies which will give £200 each and become a Community Sponsor.
If you can help and would like to be a Community Sponsor, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org. In return you will be credited in all press and publicity and of course thanked by the most amazing group of people.
