Extra help for SGN customers


There are a number of ways in which Scotia Gas Networks (SGN), distributors of natural and green gas to 5.9 million home and business across Scotland and the South of England, supports its more vulnerable customers.

The Priority Services Register is free to sign up to and you can register via your gas supplier or electricity distributor – look on your bill for details. This allows SGN to work in partnership with energy suppliers to look after customers who have extra communication, access or safety needs and tailor their services to suit them.

SGN’s Help to Heat scheme offers low-income and vulnerable people free or discounted connections. To check if you qualify, visit the website www.sgn.co.uk/HelptoHeat and complete the online survey. If you qualify call SGN’s partner, YES Energy Solutions on 0800 183 0025, or e-mail sgn@yesenergysolutins.co.uk.

SGN’s locking cooker valve initiative helps customers who need extra safeguarding, such as people with Alzheimer’s or autism, to retain their independence at home. More information on this free service can be found on SGN’s locking cooker valve web page www.sgn.co.uk/Safety/Locking-Cooker-Valve.
