Still plenty of time to have your say in the Local Plan: Garden Villages Consultation
As the eight week Local Plan: Garden Villages Consultation approaches its halfway point, the Council is urging people who haven’t yet done so to get involved and have their say. The Consultation runs until 5pm on Monday 9 October and is an opportunity for residents to give their views on the vision, objectives and principles of a garden village development, as well as the potential location.
The Garden Villages Consultation document is available to view on the website at www.tandridge.gov.uk/localplan. The website also contains information about how to take part in the consultation and a Get the Facts leaflet.
There are still two remaining public exhibition events which are open to all residents and officers and councillors will be available at these to answer any questions:
|Lingfield Primary School, Vicarage Road, Lingfield, RH7 6HA
||Friday 8 September
||3.30pm to 8pm
|St John’s Church Hall, Eastbourne Road, Blindley Heath, RH7 6JR
||Thursday 14 September
||3.30pm to 7.30pm

Councillor Peter Bond, Chairman of the Planning Policy Committee, said: “Now people who have been able to take some time off this summer are back from holiday, we want to make sure everyone takes the opportunity to get involved in this consultation. The exhibition events we have held so far have been very well attended and it has been helpful to hear people’s opinions and respond to their questions. We want to bring forward a garden village for existing and future residents so they can benefit from the new and improved infrastructure, including roads, schools, shops and health facilities and their children and grandchildren can live close by. We would like to encourage everyone to take this opportunity to find out more and have their say.”
