Could you help a family with young children who are struggling to cope?

Home-Start East Surrey is a local charity, which provides regular support, friendship and practical help for families with young children who are struggling to cope. This may be for a variety of reasons such as isolation, post-natal depression, disability, bereavement or multiple births.

Home-Start volunteers visit families weekly and work alongside parents, in their own homes, to help them cope with the difficulties they may be facing. The charity covers families living in the East Surrey area including Tandridge, Redhill, Reigate, Horley and Dorking.

A new eight week training course for Home-Start volunteers will start on Wednesday 18 October from 9.30am to 2pm. The course is paused during school holidays and will be being held at Reigate Park Church, Park Lane East in Reigate.

The committed and caring volunteers are parents themselves. Volunteers enable parents to grow in confidence, strengthen their relationships with their children and widen their links within the local community.
