ICT Strategy

Tandridge ICT Strategy

In March 2010 the Council approved a new ICT strategy for Tandridge. Tandridge relies on technology to deliver many of its services, and ICT covers how we use Computers, telephones and the internet to provide communication with our community as well as automation of business processes. Tandridge will work in future more closely aligned with other Surrey Authorities, and as such the Joint ICT Strategy for Surrey Authorities is also included here.

Technology plays an increasing part in the life of our community and its application will continue to change the way the Council works and its citizens lifestyles. Technology will bring changes for all; increasingly the home is also an area of computer exploitation and many Tandridge residents expect access to services using the internet as we become a nation where many are internet shoppers who manage their affairs through online accounts.

Computers and the internet are not for everyone, however. Tandridge must use technology to deliver services by which ever method the citizen requires. We must also be aware of the variety of technology which our community is becoming used to, from smart phones and satellite navigation to assistance for the elderly or alarm systems for the disabled. Tandridge must use its resources to greatest effect, and use these technologies to deliver an efficient service.

Tandridge District Council works to an ICT Strategy for its Information Technology systems. This strategy describes, amongst other details; Our vision of Tandridge's future service provision A view of Tandridge's role in the joint Surrey wide services How we are reducing the resources being used to achieve this.
