Tandridge ICT Strategy
In March this year the Council approved a new ICT strategy for Tandridge. Tandridge relies on technology to deliver many of its services, and ICT covers how we use Computers, telephones and the internet to provide communication with our community as well as automation of business processes.
Technology plays an increasing part in the life of our community and its application will continue to change the way the Council and its citizens lifestyle and work. Technology will bring changes for all; increasingly the home is also an area of computer exploitation and many Tandridge residents expect access to services using the internet as we become a nation of internet shoppers, managing our affairs through online accounts.
Computers and the internet are not for everyone, however. Tandridge must use technology to deliver services by which ever method the citizen requires. We must also be aware of the variety of technology which our community is becoming used to, from mobile phones and satellite navigation to assistance for the elderly or alarm systems for the disabled. Tandridge must use its resources to greatest effect, and use these technologies to deliver an efficient service.
