15/6/2017 New ticketless parking for Oxted coming soon
Next week’s Community Services Committee will consider the introduction of a new ticketless barrier system for the Council’s Ellice Road car park in Oxted. The Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) system will enable visitors to pay on exit rather than having to decide how long they want to stay when they arrive. The first hour will be free.

With the RegenOxted consultation set to end on Friday 23 June, residents and businesses are encouraged to view the plans online at www.tandridge.gov.uk/regenerationoxted , or visit the Council Offices to look at the exhibition and have their say about the future of Oxted. Copies of the exhibition materials are also available at Oxted library.
13/6/2017 New date set for Compulsory Purchase Inquiry for former Rose and Young site
The Planning Inspectorate has set 5 September as the new start date for the public inquiry into the Council’s application to acquire the former Rose and Young site using a compulsory purchase order.

A public consultation about plans for the development of some of the land at Boulthurst Way is taking place on Saturday 17   June, 10am until 1pm and Monday 19 June, 5.30pm until 8.30pm, at St Agatha’s Hall, Greenhurst Lane, Hurst Green RH8 9AH.

We are currently recruiting to a range of roles to help implement our Customer First programme, which will transform the whole organisation including the structure, the way we work and our behaviours. Surrey County Council will be resurfacing Station Road East, Oxted from Monday 5 June for 15 nights.
26/5/2017 New chairman elected for 2017-2018
Tandridge District Council’s Chairman for 2017-2018 is Councillor Gill Black. The previous chairman, Councillor Pat Cannon, presented her with the ceremonial chain of office when she was elected at last night’s Annual Council meeting.                          
25/5/2017 Damaged playhouse in Mint Walk
We are sorry the playhouse equipment in the Mint Walk play area is still closed. This recently installed piece of play equipment was damaged by vandals and is not safe for children to play on. We are waiting for replacement parts which will take up to three weeks to arrive.

Following the attack in Manchester on Monday 22 May, Surrey Police’s Assistant Chief Constable, Steve Barry, released the following statement. On Tuesday 23 May the Prime Minister raised the terror threat level from severe to critical.
