Bulky waste clearance weekends

A refuse vehicle will be parked at the times and locations listed in the table below. These are to help residents in areas away from the Community Recycling Centres to get rid of items of household waste that can't be taken by your normal waste collection. These collections are for household waste only and not for any waste from any business or commercial activity.

Please help us by not dumping waste at any of the sites before the vehicle gets there. We cannot accept any waste brought to the site in a lorry.

We can take the following items.

  • Ceramics
  • Furniture
  • Garden waste (look out for additional vehicles just for composting garden waste at four sites on two dates only)
  • Glass
  • Household waste
  • Metal items
  • Up to two white goods such as washing machines (no fridges or freezers)

We can not take the following items.

  • Asbestos
  • Batteries including car batteries
  • Concrete
  • Fridges and freezers
  • Hardcore
  • Hazardous chemicals
  • Liquid wastes
  • Oil or paint
  • Plasterboard
  • Trade waste
