Residents with up to three large or bulky items of household waste, such as a washing machine, old mattress and sofa (excluding fridge and freezers), can have them collected from outside their homes for the subsidised rate of £20.47. The service is limited to two collections for each household a year and is free to residents who receive state pension or certain means tested benefits.

Please call Biffa on 01883 712333 to arrange a collection or for more information from 9am to 5pm Mondays to Fridays.

The service is only for the disposal of items you would normally take with you when moving house, such as a bed, furniture, a mattress, a TV and white goods (except fridges and freezers, these are collected through the fridge/freezer collection service). This service is not for the collection of items such as carpets, concrete, double glazed windows, fencing, garden items, kitchen units, and water or oil tanks.
