Student enquiries

School and college/university projects often involve the gathering of information from the local authority.

It is not always possible to help with requests for help or information because of work priorities. We ask that requests are made in writing to the relevant department in the first instance.

The Planning Department's public counter is open during the Council's office hours for individual research into planning histories and for looking at documents such as the Local Plan, the Core Strategy and other publications.

The 2001 Census information for the District, wards and civil parishes is available on the Census - key statistics page. There is a link to the 2011 Census.

In the 1970s Tandridge District Council published a series of attractively illustrated guides to some of the historic villages and their conservation areas. These documents have been out of print for many years, however we have now made them available on the Villages explored page.
