I am not paying my Council Tax by Direct Debit. What are the benefits?

• Direct Debit is Secure (You tell us which account to use and we always give you at least 10 working days notice of any changes to the amounts)
• Direct Debit is time saving (once set up your payment comes out automatically without you having to do anything, rolling forward each year)
• Direct Debit Saves Money (because it is an automatic instruction to your bank it involves very little maintenance , making it the cheapest form of payment)
• Direct Debit Gives You Choice (You can choose one of four different dates in the month to pay. No other payment method offers this choice)
• You can spread your direct debit payments over 12 months instead of the usual 10 months.  This reduces your monthly instalment but means you wont get a payment "holiday" in February and March.
• Direct Debit is backed by the National Guarantee (and you can stop it any time).
