Can I get a refund on my Council Tax if you cancel services?

No. Council Tax is a tax not payment for services. While we collect the Council Tax we keep just 12.7% (£193.62 for a Band D property), the rest goes to Surrey County Council (£1,116.36) and Surrey Police Authority (£198.54).

The cost of the refuse and recycling service is £70 per household a year, or £1.37 per property for two collections each week.
