Advertising policy

Why I have or have not received a letter about a proposed development?

All planning applications received are publicised, sometimes by site notices and sometimes by advertisements in the local press. The most frequent method is to send letters to addresses that touch the site. Anyone can comment, regardless of whether they have received a letter from the Council.

Full details of how we carry out consultation can be read in the Development Management Charter.

All comments received are carefully considered and will be taken into account when a decision is made.
