What happens to comments made on applications?

All comments about an application must be in writing. They are carefully considered, but only representations on planning matters can be taken into account, eg the effect on property values or the motives of the applicant are not relevant considerations. They will also be publicly available for the applicant and others to see, both on the planning file and on the internet.

We cannot enter into correspondence about the merits of an application nor provide any more information than is contained in the application. You can follow the application on the Council's Planning Online service either yourself or by signing up to email alerts.
