Register to vote by 13 April

With just two weeks left until the deadline, the Electoral Commission and Tandridge District Council are encouraging residents to make sure they are registered to vote.

On Thursday 4 May voters will go to the polls for Surrey County Council elections. Local Surrey County Councillors provide a link between residents in Tandridge and Surrey County Council.

Anyone who wants to be able to vote and have their say on 4 May must be registered to vote by Thursday 13 April. Visit www.gov.uk/register-to-vote to register.

Need a postal or proxy vote?

Anyone away on the day of the election can apply to vote by post or proxy. The forms are available at www.yourvotematters.co.uk.

To be able to vote by post, completed application forms must be received at the Council Offices, Oxted no later than 5pm on 18 April and to vote by proxy, completed application forms must be received no later than 5pm on 25 April.

  • Want to check your name is on the register.
  • Have moved within the district and want to find out which polling station you are entitled to vote at.
  • If you need a form for a postal or proxy vote.
