This e-petition
(This link will open in a new window) service concerns petitions which relate to the Council's functions apart from planning applications and licensing matters (for which separate arrangements exist). It aims to help as many people as possible to make their views known. All petitions will be accepted and published on this website, as long as they meet the criteria below. To protect this service from abuse, petitions must satisfy some basic conditions.
Anyone who lives, works or studies in Tandridge may create and submit a petition to the Council.
The petition must refer to a matter that is relevant to the Council's functions. As stated above, this service should not be used in respect of planning applications or licensing issues. Separate arrangements exist for residents wishing to make representations about such matters. Subject to that proviso, e-petitions must include:

Further information on the Council's procedures and how you can express your views are available here:
Petitions which do not follow the guidelines above cannot be accepted. In these cases, you will be informed in writing of the reason(s) your petition has been refused. If this happens, we will give you the option of altering and resubmitting the petition so it can be accepted.
If you decide not to resubmit your petition, or if the second one is also rejected, we will list your petition and the reason(s) for not accepting it on this website. We will publish the full text of your petition, unless the content is illegal or offensive.
We reserve the right to reject:
Where a petition is accepted which contains misleading information, we reserve the right to post an interim response to highlight this point to anyone visiting to sign the petition.
Once accepted, petitions will be made available on this website for anyone to sign. Those signing the petition must provide their name, address and a verifiable e-mail address.
No personal details other than their name will be published on the site. Information about any individual will not be used for any other purpose than in relation to the petition, unless they choose to sign up for other services offered on this website. You can read more on this in our privacy policy.
Further details of the process for submitting, receiving and responding to petitions are set out in the Guide to e-petitions, frequently asked questions and the Council's petition scheme.
