Performance indicators

Statutory performance indicators were first introduced in 1993/94, and have always been supplemented by local indicators (LPI).

In 2010, following a change in government, national statutory indicators were abandoned.

Local indicators

The use of indicators locally is considered to be beneficial in demonstrating to both Councillors and the local community how well the Council is delivering its services.  In particular a succinct set of key indicators will, over time, highlight trends in performance.

A copy of the current set of Local Performance Indicators

Performance against these indicators will be reported to Policy Committees at least twice a year and also to each meeting of the Overview and Scrutiny Committee.
