What happens to waste

A yellow bulldozer pushing landfilled refuse surrounded in contrast by green grass and blue sky.Any household waste you do not recycle ends up in Pattison Court Landfill Site, near Redhill in Surrey.

So if you have been recycling your glass, paper, cans and plastic drinks bottles in our green box and blue bag service you have helped divert approximately a quarter of your household waste from landfill.

That means there is still approximately 20,000 tonnes of rubbish being landfilled every year!

Please recycle all you can.
