Sheltered housing

Sheltered housing gives tenants an opportunity to live in a safe and friendly environment where they can keep their independence, but at the same time, receive help and advice when needed. The support service provided by the Council's Sheltered Scheme Co-ordinators helps our sheltered scheme residents have peace of mind and reassurance.

Not all sheltered housing schemes have the same facilities. Some have communal facilities on site, such as a lounge, laundry with drying room and a guest room. Others may have existing social clubs. You will be able to enjoy the benefits that these communal facilities can bring, while keeping your privacy whenever you want to.

For more information, please see our Guide to Sheltered Housing.

How do I apply for sheltered housing?

To apply for sheltered housing provided by the Council or our housing association partners, you will need to join our Housing Register.

Vacancies are publicised through Tandridge Home Choice.
